"Oh, that isn't smoke - It's steam. Steam from the steamed clams we're having! Mmmmm, steamed clams!"
– One of Skinner's most famous lines
Seymour Skinner (born May 14, 1955 age 66) is the principal of West Springfield Elementary School and the best Steamed Hams maker in the world.
Seymour is a quite tall person, pretty skinny and quite old. He wears a blue suit, a red tie, and a purple shirt under the suit. His skin color is yellow as any other white person in Springfield would have that same skin color, and he has brown hair.
Skinner was born to only Agnes Skinner as his father died during delivery. His mother was an authoritative figure in his life, telling him what to do all his life. At age 15, Skinner developed a rebellious teen phase, but his mother told him to put it on hold until after high school graduation, which he did.
Skinner went to fight in a war where he made some good friends even though most of them died. In particular, You probably shouldn't make a joke out of Valentine's Day when Seymour is around because he will start having flashbacks and exclaim, "Johnny. Johnny! JOHNNY!"
People have since questioned what war Skinner was a part of, but Skinner says it was a war with a country that no longer exists and also did not exist prior to the war. The only evidence of the country is the war. In 1972, Seymour got out of the war by claiming that the chef was being given the "Medal of Honor" for putting an end to the war single-handedly, resulting in an unconditional surrender with Murica winning. This came as news to the enemy side, but they figured the Murican general knew something they didn't. Skinner is always providing crazy explanations like that!
Skinner graduated from Springfield Heights Institute of Technology (S.H.I.T.) in 1977 and eventually became the principal of Springfield Elementary.
